Vanni Hope (VH) & Kaveri Kala Manram(KKM) are involved in providing Araneri Hindu Spiritual classes every Sunday in the Kilinochchi and Vanni Region. From September, 2017, we are conducting Araneri classes in Annaivilunthan, Ponnagar , Malayalapuram, Myilvaganapuram, Otrupulam ( All in Vanni District) & Ammantnanavely(Vakarai, Eastern Region) with great success with more than fifty students participating in each village.

During his recent trip to Vanni, Ranjan Siva, founder of Vanni Hope, visited the villages of Sampoor, Thakapuram, Iruthayapuram & Santharaveaddai in the Trincomalee district and the villages of Vakarai & Ammanthanavely in the Batticaloa district.
In May 2016, Nageswary lost her husband to cancer and was left to raise 6 children on her own. She and her family subsisted on Rs600 she earned per day breaking rocks.
So far Vanni Hope concentrated its efforts in helping the needy in the north of Sri lanka. However, it recognises the plight of people in the east of the country also and are venturing into helping them with the assistance of Kaveri Kala Mandram.
In an initiative commencing in November 2016, KKM-Vannihope built a tube well and helped Emilathevi (a single mum) and her family to establish a vegetable garden and a poultry farm. Through her enterprise and hard work, Emilathevi now earns about Rs8,000-10,000 per month out of which she is able to save money for fertiliser and other things needed for her garden. She also bought 2 goats and is aiming to cultivate more vegetables like legumes.

Kilinochchi Maha Vidyalayam and Puthukkudiyiruppu Central College in the north of Sri Lanka have been competing for Battle of Vanni Cricket trophy from 2007. Vanni Hope along with Kaveri Kala Mandram (KKM) sponsored this competition this year.
As part of the water for livelyhood projects, in the recent months, KKM-VanniHope has built more wells and provided running water for many families in Ariviyalnagar, Kanthikiramam, Ootrupulam and Thirunagar villages in the Vanni District and other villages in the north of Sri Lanka.
