Kaveri Kala Manram - Womenn farmer's dialogue was held in Kilinochchi.

Kaveri Kala Manram (KKM) is empowering communities on sustainable livelihood through agriculture. KKM is now promoting women farmers to develop network among themselves through women farmers dialogue . Most of the women are involving organics farming at the moment but they are facing challenges in marketing for theirs products. Women farmers dialogue is open new adventures to sell their agriculture products.

There is growing awareness and acknowledgment in the health care community that health outcomes and disparities, more often than not, are driven by social determinants of health than by medical care.
1. Social determinants of health include social, economic, physical, or other conditions where people live, learn, work, and play that influence their health.
2. Poverty and food insecurity are social determinants of health, and are associated with some of the most serious and costly health problems in the nation.
Maintaining good health, consuming a nutritious diet, managing an existing chronic disease, or a combination of these can be a challenge for those struggling with poverty or food insecurity for a variety of reasons, including limited finances and resources, competing priorities, and stress. In addition, those impacted by poverty or food insecurity are likely experiencing additional resource-related hardships (e.g., housing instability, energy insecurity) that, in turn, can contribute to poor nutrition, health, and disease management.
The poverty in Sri Lanka has increased in Northern and Eastern province where 60% of the family earns less than $ 2 a day and facing challenges in day to day life.
Sri Lankan Government stated to the United Nations that by 2030 it will be a poverty free country in cooperating with SDG. The project is in progress spending money in their livelihood and still there is no change in their lifestyle. Many of them are struggling in poverty and hunger.
KKM has realized the poverty and hunger among the people by following the PATH OF JESUS to eradicate hunger and poverty.
We all know the Miracle of Lord Jesus feeding 5000 hungry people when they were really starving. When we are really and starving of hunger no matter where the food comes from when a hungry person in the dessert had a hand full of food among the hungry ,with God’s grace and Gods power he shared his food with all of them and they were free from hunger.
A hungry person knows hunger and always helping and will be a donor all his life. We will get our food from our environment.
1. We will get healthy food from our environment.
2. We will discover our own talents.
3. We will reduce the cost of food by following the new methods which will help us to reduce the cost of living and increase the revenue.

THIS IS OUR AIM OF TODAYS EVENT.
